The Art of Secret Messages: 

Part of the Festival of Creative Learning, the Art of Secret Messages is a two hour workshop where participants will gain a practical understanding of how coded messages, encryption and secure processes work, culminating in them developing their own methods for sending secret messages. The twist? All of this will be done without reliance on computers.

So come along and experience Victorian fan language, video game languages, the 300 year "unbreakable" cipher and more!

Have you ever thought about what data you own? Who do you share it with? How is it protected? Learn how to start asking the right questions and building up good cybersecurity habits, looking at:

• Knowing what data you have
• How to secure your devices
• Passwords
• Encryption
• Developing your knowledge

This acts as a beginner's overview and companion to the Information Security Essentials training on LEARN.

Phishing, Scams and Social Engineering:

Humans are often one of the key targets in cyber attacks. This session looks at how Fraudsters and Hackers play against human nature in order to compromise us.

This one-hour session will look into one of the most widely publicised and dangerous varieties of malware - ransomware.

This one hour talk provides a high level overview of mobile phones and the security landscape they operate within, the attack surface along with examples of threats are highlighted along with top ten security tips to help with securing mobile devices.
